Termez Territorial Office of Air Traffic Control

On July 10, 2024, the official opening of the new building of the air traffic control tower (ATC) took place in the Termez Territorial Office (TO) of the State Unitary Enterprise Uzaeronavigation Center With the opening of the new tower of the Termez ATC, dispatching services at the airfield will be carried out from the new TOWER control room by one dispatcher. It is worth noting that before the construction, all the services of the Termez ATC were located in different buildings of the Termez airport, which took a lot of time to coordinate production processes. The new control room located on the tower allows the dispatcher (RP) to conduct continuous radar and visual monitoring of aircraft movement on the ground and in the air, as well as work services on the airfield from one workplace. For information, the ATS service can serve 12 aircraft per hour, 264 per day and 96 360 aircraft per year. The building is more than 25 meters high and employs 20 air traffic service specialists and 66 specialists of the BERTOS service (Base for electrical and radio engineering support of flights). On the ground floor of the building there is a server room for providing the ATS ground aviation communications service, i.e. communication with adjacent control rooms of the ERW authorities and the Regional Center for the Use of Samarkand Airspace and other services of the Termez airfield providing flights at the airfield. On the second floor there is a hardware room for providing the dispatcher with communication with the crews of the armed forces, providing radar surveillance equipment, as well as registration of objective control equipment. Also on the second floor there is a situation center for monitoring the operability of all RTO and communication equipment, solving troubleshooting problems during the work of BERTOS specialists on duty. It is worth noting that the Termez ATC is equipped with modern advanced radar and radio navigation equipment such as: The Krona-T radar; An automated air traffic control system manufactured by Spain "INDRA" for air traffic control; Omnidirectional (azimuthal) VHF VOR radio beacon and UHF rangefinder equipment for driving aircraft to the airfield, flying along air routes and landing; The ILS instrument landing system for precision approach at a minimum of ICAO Category 1. The new tower will significantly improve the efficiency and safety of air traffic in the region and will become a real and solid fortress in ensuring flight safety!
